Britain’s biggest organiser of charity and recreational mass rides – Bike Events - is inviting smaller good causes to take free fund-raising advantage of three of the rides it is already running as part of its September programme.
This September finds Bike Events also putting on three ‘open’ rides where individual entrants or teams are welcome to choose to fund-raise for their own favourite good causes through sponsorship.  The rides are London to Windsor, Wiltshire 100 and Big Wheel and New Forest.
All three rides will use quiet, safe and scenic routes carefully researched by the Bike Events team and will be supported by marshals at regular intervals, sign-posting, travelling mechanics and medics, a pick-up vehicle and pre-arranged refreshment stops.
Bike Events are already getting good interest in the events from individuals and company teams who have decided for themselves the cause or campaign they want to help. But smaller charities are just as welcome to join, either by simply encouraging their supporters to enter as individuals or by buying a block of places and gaining some extra benefits, such as promotion via our website, branded sponsorship and online giving. Either way, the open events will be a way for local causes to boost their incomes and recruit new supporters.

Open ride choices are:
London to Windsor (Sunday 7 September) – starts from Richmond Green, off Kew Row, TW9 1LX; ends, Alexandra Gardens, Windsor, SL4 5HZ; offers a choice of 37 and 55 mile routes along leafy lanes through the pretty villages of the Thames Valley plus a family-friendly 29 mile route using the traffic-free Thames Towpath and Windsor Great Park.
Wiltshire Big Wheel (Sunday 7 September) - starts/ends at The Small Green, Nurstead Road, Devizes, SN10 3AG; offers 12 mile, 45 mile and 100 mile options, all taking in the beautiful Vale of Pewsey and with the longer rides also passing through Savernake Forest
New Forest (Sunday 14 September) – starts/ends Brockenhurst Sixth Form College campus, Lyndhurst Road, Brockenhurst, SO42 7ZE; offers a 15 mile woodland route for families plus 35, 45 and 60 mile routes for more experienced cyclists.
Any charities interested in entering teams are invited to contact Bike Events by emailing; visiting the website; or by finding Bike-Events on Facebook.
